Pickens, SC Pickens, SC Full-time Full-time $20 - $25 an hour $20 - $25 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Quality Control Inspector The Quality Control Inspector will ensure quality control and quality assurance of the manufacture, fabrication, and repair of products consistent with the established AISC Quality standards and customer requirements.
The quality control inspector must develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of product lines and industry codes, including AISC, AWS structure welding codes, paint inspection, and documentation.
This individual will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of industrial fabrication and must be proficient with the projects and services offered.
Ability to be flexible and work extended hours as needed.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Inspecting work for conformance to quality standards, code, customer requirements etc Monitoring conformance to procedures Providing technical support to customers, project managers, engineering, manufacturing, and others as needed in all areas relating to quality.
Communicating personnel, equipment, supply, and scheduling needs to the Shop Manager and/or Superintendent.
Communicating Quality issues and concerns with CWI and/or Manger Maintaining quality credentials including AWS- D1.

2 Qualifications; AISC- Bridge, Paint and FC.
Completing shop and field inspections to insure conformance to industry and customer specifications.
This may include visits to manufacturing partners, suppliers, and customers.
Managing and resolving non-conformance and following-up on corrective and preventative actions.
Completing Code required documentation of fabrications, repairs, and alterations to include material tracking, customer specifications, inspection processes, etc.
Creating and maintaining inspection records as required by various codes.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent 3
years of Quality Control experience Knowledge of Industrial Painting techniques Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and American Welding Society (AWS) Codes Must exhibit a high-level of professionalism, integrity, and be willing and able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
Must be able to read and interpret customer specifications and advise the management team on quality capabilities based on the specifications.
Knowledge of personal computers and software packages including specific knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple deadlines.
