Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the receiving department operations - Coordinate and prioritize incoming shipments - Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all merchandise - Perform quality control checks on received items - Supervise and train receiving team members - Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and record-keeping - Collaborate with other departments to resolve any receiving-related issues - Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines - Utilize warehouse management systems (AS400) for tracking and reporting purposes - Monitor and optimize receiving processes to improve efficiency Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a distribution center or warehouse environment - Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory control procedures - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required (up to 50 lbs) - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (AS400) - Strong leadership and team management abilities - Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols Skills:
