Scope of Position The Electrical Maintenance Technician/Troubleshooter will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all electrical systems within our facilities.
This role requires a keen understanding of electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on preventing downtime and minimizing disruptions to operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1.
Routine Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including but not limited to wiring, lighting, motors, and control systems.
2.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair electrical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify problems accurately.
3.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, to restore operations swiftly and safely.
4.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and equipment inspections.
5.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance activities.
Ensure that electrical systems meet industry standards and comply with safety codes.
6.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to other maintenance personnel to enhance their understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
7.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.
Propose and implement solutions to optimize equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
Education and
Experience:
1.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional vocational training or certification in electrical maintenance is preferred.
2.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
3.
Technical Skills:
Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with PLCs and motor controls.
4.
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to diagnose complex electrical issues effectively.
5.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
6.
Safety Consciousness:
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety regulations at all times.
7.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel and departments to achieve common goals.
